A Stanley Cup champion with the Colorado Avalanche before the Theoren Fleury trade brought him to Calgary, Rene Corbet was a hard-working and versatile forward who had the ability to make a difference and contribute to a winning outcome.
“Corby” brings the same high-energy style and commitment that he demonstrated as an NHL player to his new career working in outside sales for a tubular company called Continental Alloys & Services.
As a minor hockey coach who has given his time to three different teams over the past year, Rene clearly understands the value of giving back to his community and he brings that same generosity and enthusiasm to the charity events he participates in with the Flames Alumni.
“It's great to be involved as an ex-player for the Flames and I feel fortunate to be part of the Flames Alumni. We have all these chances and opportunities to help with the hockey charities.”
Rene lives in Calgary his wife Lindsay and their three boys; Matt, Nate and Kade.
