Perry Berezan initiated one of the most unforgettable moments in Calgary Flames history when his seemingly harmless dump-in set in motion a chain of events that led to Steve Smith’s own-goal which eliminated the defending Stanley Cup Champion Edmonton Oilers back in 1986.

Now working for the “The Berezan Sherven Group”, Perry effectively combines his formidable business acumen with the relentlessly positive attitude he displayed during his NHL career to help his many clients achieve their investment goals.

The father of Lindsay(20), Jack(17) and Rene(14) reflects fondly on his days with the Flames and their commitment to community engagement which continues to be expressed today through the efforts of the Flames Alumni.

“Y’know, all of the off-ice stuff we did is what I’m the most proud of.  Lanny, Jim and that amazing veteran leadership group we had back then made sure all the young guys knew that being active in the community is what’s expected of you when you put on the Flames jersey.”
